VILLAGE HIKING TOUR
Walk Into the Heart of Bhutan
Explore peaceful valleys, traditional villages, ancient trails, and breathtaking landscapes while experiencing Bhutanese culture at a slower pace.
The Journey
Where Bhutan’s Heart Comes Alive
The Heart of Bhutan Hiking Tour is an 8-day journey through the cultural and scenic heart of western Bhutan, where gentle trails, ancient landmarks, peaceful valleys, and local traditions come together. Rather than simply sightseeing, this journey invites you to experience Bhutan on foot, at a slower and more rewarding pace.
Walk through peaceful forests to ridge-top monasteries, follow the scenic Lungchuzekha Trail from the 108 chortens at Dochula Pass, and explore the beautiful Phobjikha Valley, home to the graceful black-necked cranes. Along the way, discover the historic dzongs, temples, villages, and everyday traditions of Thimphu, Punakha, Phobjikha, and Paro.
Meet local families, visit traditional farmhouses, and experience the warmth of Bhutanese hospitality before ending your journey with the unforgettable climb to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically above the Paro Valley.
With gentle hiking, rich culture, and breathtaking Himalayan scenery, this is a beautiful introduction to discovering the heart of Bhutan on foot.
