SPECIAL TOUR
Protect the Wild, Walk the Himalayas
Support snow leopard conservation, celebrate the traditions of Bhutan’s highland communities, and trek through the pristine Jomolhari wilderness on the Soi Yaksa Trail.
The Journey
A Journey for Wildlife, Culture & Wilderness
High in the Himalayas, where snow leopards roam beneath Mount Jomolhari, Bhutan’s highland communities live alongside one of the world’s most elusive big cats. The Jomolhari Mountain Festival celebrates this rare connection while raising awareness for snow leopard conservation and protecting its fragile habitat.
Your 12-day journey begins with the festival, where highland traditions come alive through folk dances, music, local crafts, yak and horse displays, and community celebrations. From there, the adventure continues into the wilderness on the Soi Yaksa Trek, leading through remote valleys, pristine forests, alpine lakes, and dramatic mountain passes.
Surrounded by magnificent Himalayan scenery, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the highland communities, their traditions, and the wildlife of this remarkable region.
More than a festival or trek, this is a journey that connects conservation, culture, and the wild beauty of Bhutan’s high mountains.
